Charming locals' pub atmosphere made the stay enjoyable.
The compact room felt cramped, lacking comfort. The fluctuating shower temperature was frustrating. the overall attitude of the staff, especially during check-in, was unwelcoming and condescending.

The room was a good size and located at the back, making it private and quiet. I particularly enjoyed the excellent breakfast, with local ingredients and a perfect portion size. The cooked meals were tasty, and dining in the pub was a highlight of my stay, with wonderful value for what I received. The village itself was lovely for a stroll, which was a nice way to unwind after a busy day.

The double ensuite room was super comfy, and I loved the serene vibe away from the busy main road. Dinner showcased fresh, high-quality dishes, especially the seafood platter.

Noise from creaking floors in the upstairs room can be a real bother, especially when trying to sleep. During busy periods, wait times for meals can be longer than expected, which can dampen the overall experience. The heating in the cottages also needs to be addressed as some found it inadequate when the weather gets chilly.

A Gem for Family Getaways!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the spacious Two-Bedroom Suite! The kids loved the generous snacks provided. Pippa's attention to our dietary needs at dinner was impressive, and the venison stew was a standout dish. Make sure to try the amazing breakfast. it's a hearty start to the day!

I stayed in the Double Ensuite Room, Poachers Mews 2B for a night. The room was nicely decorated and had a super comfy bed for a great sleep. It was clean and modern with a good shower. Plus, having tea and coffee facilities was a nice touch. It was really quiet at night, which I loved! Just wish the front of the building felt more welcoming instead of the staff jumping straight to rules about the carpets being cleaned upon arrival.
